Battery Replaced + Dash Meter Shows No Volts + Lights On = Nonstop Buzzer
Hello,
I have an Chevy 88 Suburban 2500 2-wheel drive 454.
My battery died (drained to zilch). Do not know why. Put in a new battery. Truck runs all around town with zero problems (so far).
1) The weird thing is the Dash Meter that records Voltage is now not registering at all. i.e. dead . . . as the stick says down below the lowest reading as opposed to a low reading. But the truck has enough volts to crank and run.
2) Even weirder? If I drive at night and turn on the lights, the buzzer goes on and won't shut off (like something was left on, but what??? or was supposed to be closed, but is not i.e. doors).
So my theory is something (very non-obvious) is slowly draining the battery. Or something is on, and I am being warned, but it only rings the buzzer when the lights are turned on. Huh???
If we cross-reference 1) and 2) is there something I should look at???
Thanks,
Steve
