Anyone swapped a 2500 fuel tank into a 1500
I'm wondering how easy it would be to install the 39 gallon fuel tank out of a 2004 Suburban and install it into a 1500. That would increase the range quite a bit if possible
Has anyone tried this?
Would anything else have to be changed?

I'm not sure of the legal implications, such as crash test worthiness, but I image it could be done with enough fabrication.
Do you live rather far from fuel pumps? I get 400 miles out of my 09 Tahoe to the 24 gallon tank.
