Audio Question
Hello all, I’ve a 2002 non-Bose Suburban which has an amp and sub, and managed to get a 2005 Tahoe Bose amp and 4 door speakers. Can I just swap these over? My understanding is they should be reasonably compatible but I wanted to check before do any damage!
Thanks
Thanks
From Google SearchFor a 2002 Suburban, parts are generally interchangeable with Tahoes from 1999 to 2006. However, starting in 2007, the Suburban was completely redesigned, so parts from that year and later will not swap over.

Interchangeable Parts for 2002 Suburban and Tahoe
Compatible Years
- 1999 to 2006: Parts from these model years are generally interchangeable between the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban.
Key Considerations
- Body Style: Ensure that the body style of the Tahoe or Suburban matches. The 2007 models were redesigned, which means parts from 2007 and later will not fit a 2002 model.
- Specific Parts: While many parts can be swapped, some components may have slight variations. It's advisable to verify specific parts for compatibility.
Summary of Compatibility
Model Year Range Compatibility Notes 1999 - 2006 Most parts interchangeable 2007 and later Redesign means no compatibility
I added all the Bose speakers/tweeters to the existing system but left the amp. I added a new sub too, everything was blown out. It sounds pretty ok now, nothing crazy but significantly better than it was!
