Hey folks, just wanted to ask (and I THINK the answer is no), but do the new (2021-22) Suburbans come with an auto-hold feature that, when activated, keep the vehicle from moving forward without having to hold the brake?
Useful when in traffic, the drive-thru, etc.
Thanks!

He's not confused, he is asking about an option that comes by default on even the lowest trims on almost every foreign car for years now. Hopefully kia or toyota start making a decent sized SUV. If you haven't driven a car with auto hold you just don't know what you are missing. It's great.
Yes I know this is an old thread but it comes up in searches for auto hold and is still relevant for 2023 suburbans which still don't have this basic feature.

Grandpa, tell us about the good old days before power steering, power windows and doors, automatic transmissions, cruise control, and running water. Did you dig up the coal or did you chop wood to make the fire to boil the water to turn the turbine to make the electricity so you could post that Luddite comment?

When I first posted I still had my 2014 silverado and when I read your comment I was like no way am I going to push the ebrake with my foot all the time and pull the release. But then a couple days ago I traded it for a 2023 suburban which has a push button electric ebrake. (eebrake?)
I was at a light and thought about your post and pushed the button and took my foot off the brake, and then without pushing the button again I pressed the gas and the ebrake released. And I was like wow he is right! But the problem is I don't think the ebrake was meant to be used this way or that much. And it doesn't leave the brake lights on when you do it, so there is a good chance of getting rear-ended. Anyway chevy just needs to catch up. Love my new car though.
