AUX for my Chevy Tahoe 2004
Hi guys,
sorry for my english. I am from Czech rep. I am a sound mixer and was disapointed with listening music from my iPod via FM transmitter. I was looking for a better way. The headphones output from iPod gives a weak voltage that makes more noise when you are trying to push up the volume. But the dock connector gives almost 1 volt/0dB = almost line output. Means better noise ratio! So you need an RCA/dock cable.
I have found on the web sites, that I can buy an Aux reduction for my 6CD/radio: Precision Interface Electronics GM12-AUXv2, P.I.E. GM12-AUXv2 Auxiliary Interface GM
It is working well now, but You must make a proper wiring = put the right cable for constant + (cigaret lighter conection working good)
Than you must find the right position of the AUXv2 int. switch (put the switch on the position for the band button switch, or for the CD charger switch. For mine was working the band button switch.)
After few days the AUX stopped working, so I,ve reassamled it again and found out, that the switch dropped out because of vibrations off road driving. So i have put the switch button out and solder the contacts together for ever. From this moment the GM12-AUXv2 is working without any problem!
So good luck!
Igor
