Thanks for the replys, Called the installer today & turns out he works independent
of the dealer . I asked for his price but hasn't given it to me yet. The unit he puts in
is compatible with the 2011 ( not factory) but disables being able to use the remote control on the
DVD.

Finally found a dealer in my area who will install the factory NAV/W Back up camera.
Several told me my 2011 LT wasn't compatible, Unbelievable BS. Was leary about going ahead with the aftermarket install when the guy told me I couldn't use the remote on the entertainment unit with his model, plus I feel more comfortable with
having the dealer do it in case of any unforseeable(?) problems.

Its quite expensive to have put in $ 2,597 for the equipment & est. 4 hrs labor @$99.
Parts only took 6 days to get & are here already. Hope to schedule install within the
next week.
I wanted the Z71 pkg when I bought the Tahoe & there wern't many available in
my area so jumped at the chance to get this one but naturally it didn't have the
NAV/Back up . thus the additional expense. Being over 70 I really wanted the extra
saftey the back up camera provides.

It's worth a lot especially if you have any grandkids around.

The nav is handy for finding fast food and gas stations when you're on a trip.

Wow. That seems a lot of money for an OEM. I recently had a Pioneer Z120BT - (Nav, Handsfree BT, Vid, Camera, Sirius) installed. Total cost for me with install was $1550.00. I wish I had seen your post before.

I did check the GM site for part price & that's the same cost the dealer charged + the labor ended up being for 3 hrs.

I had seen several posts where the afternmaket units caused other things to not work or had problems getting the units sync in at the dealerships. But $ 1550 is a great price.
