Barely Starting after Fender Bender
Hi All,
I have an '08 Tahoe, and I recently got hit by my neighbor in my neighborhood, by her Camry. While backing out, she didn't look, and as I was pulling into my driveway (20 Feet away) she reversed and hit my driver's side passenger door, rear quarter panel, and bumper. All will be fixed by her insurance, but I just started it up and noticed something odd. It took 20 cranks to finally start. After I started rolling, I let go of the brake and realized at about 10-15 MHP, there is a noticeable squeaking. I started the car 3 more times about 1 hour apart each, and they're still the same, 20-25 cranks before firing up. Could these be somehow caused by my fender bender, and if so, what could have gone wrong? Would the insurance company cover the cost of whatever fix is needed?
Thanks,

yes
i would think they damn well better, else you'd have to sue your neighbor / insurance company.
take it back, tell them it's not fixed righted, must have knocked something else around...

I'd have it parked out front of the insurance office till they fixed it if they are refusing to fix it.

Since it apparently hasn't been repaired yet, be sure that the adjuster is aware of this problem. Suspect the evap. emission system is damaged. Any codes?

It's currently getting fixed at a Ford Dealership (ironic, I know). They said they'll do a complete checkup and fix anything that needs fixing. I'll see how it turns out in about a week.
