About 5 years ago I bought a Bosch battery from Pepboys for my '03 Suburban LT, paid about $100 and thought it was a great battery, or so I was told. Not even 2 years later I started having problems with it, took the Sub back to Pepboys, they tested the alternator and it was fine, so they gave me a brand new battery as it was still under warantee. Then about a year later, same thing. A year later, same thing! Well guess what? Got the last battery replaced 11/11 (not even a year ago) and it completely died this past weekend. What is going on?? Is this a piece of crap battery or is there a problem with my Suburban? I know the alternator is just fine cause if we jump start it, we can drive any where and can use all the functions (lights, radio, etc.) without any problems. But as soon as we turn the Sub off, that's it, we need another jump start.

I have called Pepboys and they told me to bring it back and that they will replace it again (for like the 4th time!), but I'm king of getting tired of having to replace the battery ever freaking year!

Any thoughts????

 

they are giving you batteries made to only last a year apparently.

pep boys pulled out of here, they had a couple of stores for awhile, but too many here caught on to some of their less than honest business practices.

you should prolly consider yourself lucky they are swapping it out under the warranty. lol

once it runs out I'd get a different brand battery.
