I am having the same problem with my rear blower in my 2004 Suburban. It stays on at very low speed when the car is off and key is out of the ignition. I discovered it after finding my battery dead for the second day and hunted to find the current draw.
I don't yet know the cause, but I have read in some other forums that the blower motor resistor may be bad. Anyone out there able to help me run the diagnostics to confirm this guess? I have read some posts saying the resistor can be $200-$300. Ouch.
Thanks in advance.

You can get the blower motor resistor from Rockauto in a range of prices. From $25 to $99. I don't think the resistor would cause this problem but I guess anything is possible.

I am having the same issues on my wife's 2005 Suburban. The rear blower works sometimes, and sometimes it doesn't. It also stays on occasionally when the truck turns off. The 3 pin harness that plugs into the resistor has 12V on the power and ground, but the middle wire (purple) has nothing even when the **** is turned up. This is when it's not working, I guess I need to do the same test when it is in fact blowing. Anybody know how to test the resistor? I also checked a 10A and 30A fuse on the driver side of the dash and they both looked ok, are these the only fuses for the hvac?

2003 K1500 exhibiting same symptoms.
Blower runs (low speed it sounds like) at ignition off
Pull 30A fuse in box on driver fender
Does not reset with fuse out two days.
I think I'll pull harness and look for shorts/grounds.
Help appreciated.

My problem was the rear blower motor resistor. I found one at Amazon:
"ACDelco 15-80564 Blower Motor Resistor Assembly" Automotive; $44.09
The rear blower motor is located in the rear passenger side under the paneling. Took about 30 minutes to pull off the panels, and swap the new resistor in for the old.
