Default Blue tooth help, please read!

I purchased the 07' Tahoe 3LT and its pretty hard loaded with Nav and rear cam etc. ... I didnt get the blue tooth option, but wanted to add it either factory or some other way so that I can use the same speaker system that ONstar does with my current mics etc. Has anyone added this thru factory or after market? ANy pricing help????

Thanks a ton!

bluetooth is not an option on the Tahoe.
coastaletech has several devices that allow for a cellular bluetooth device to play back through the factory speakers, but does not use the onstar microphone.
do a search for GM Lockpick.

as far as I know none of the add on bluetooth kits allow to use the factory mic. I like the peripheral pieces and its available as well.

Actually coastaltech does make an OnSstar lockpick that will allow you to add a bluetooth kit to it and still have the OnStar functionality. Best part about it is that you will still be able to use the microphone and speakers used for the OnStar. It's all on coastaltech's web site.

lockpick does not use the factory mic...it just allows for the bluetooth kit to play audio through the speakers, and mutes the radio in the same manner as OnStar.

Good to know. I assumed it used the OnStar mic as well. Now that would have been sweet.

Lockpick is nothing more than a device that will mute the radio and allow the sound to play through the speakers. You still need a bluetooth unit which will come with its own mic.

Your best best is to have verizon wireless service and add a line for 10 bucks. Thats what I did and have my calls forwarded to my truck, it actually rings on both the cell and the onstar. NO CALLER ID what a cruddy interface
