Default Bought new Tahoe LTZ Did I get a Deal??

Bought an 09' LTZ with the Nav/DVD/sunroof pkg, think it's sun entertainment/destination pkg whatever. It is a demo with 6k mi on it (my best friend is friend's with the slaes mgr there it was his wife's, who is the owner's daughter). Anyway, it listed for $55,740, then, after invoice price (which i believe was $52xxx, does that sound right?) he gave me the $1,900 in holdback and a discount (how much I can't figure out still) for it being a demo came to $49,204, not done... $2,000 for "old inventory", $500 no 60day return, $750 spring cash i think, $1,500 bonus for whatever, $2,500 rebate again whatever & my $2000 GM card points. total was $39,954.

so without my gm points it would've been $41,954. for an LTZ with Nav/DVD/sunroof. Demo 6k mi on it.

My question to you guys is: what did you guys pay for your LTZ's similarly equipped?? If you're like me, you always think you got screwed by the dealer, in this case even when you know everything step by step I feel like he didn't deduct for Demo!! He had no others there (LTZ's) for me to compare with the Demo v New prices.

On another note they gave me $27,000 for my 08' Sierra All terrain SLE extended cab with 3k mi on it, stickered for $36xxx (bought it with the employee price and $5k cash back). I only paid $27k for it september 08'. I only owed $18,199 on it, so I only had to finance around $32k. GMAC (I chose the cash rebates in lieu of low financing) gave me 4.5 fro 72mos payments are just $525mo with nothing ELSE out of pocket besides my equity from the Sierra and the GM card points...

Any other members deals would help ease my mind, i'm hoping i made out as well as the rest of you guys here lol.

Sounds like a great deal. I just picked a 09 LTZ that was labeled at 58,899. My trade owed 25,800 and they gave me 23,000 for it. I ended up paying 51,500 OTD. I thought I got a good deal. But seems like its no where near as good as yours. Post pics.

Cool, very nice truck. Here are a few pics of mine. I am not sure what were all the discounts I got. When I buy a vehicle I always tell them to just give me a final OTD price. I get annoyed when they start playing the numbers game. All I know was I got a military discount of about 4,000 and the rest was rebates. So all in all including taxes it was almost 11,000 in discounts. BTW how do you attach pictures to be that size?

I have a photobucket account and i just copy the "[img]" thing and paste.. your's looks insane with those 22's.. i don't think i could handle the ride though. the 20's are a little too stiff for my liking. I drove a Z71 with the 18's and it rode much better, like my Sierra. but the smaller wheels look funny. I can deal.

secondly. Thanks. All is well. Today I went there and sat down with the gen. mgr and he walked me through the numbers.. here is what went wrong, and why i thought something didn't seem right given the explanation when i bought the truck.

He told me I got the truck at "Triple net" he said if he caould get 10 LTZ's today at triple net he would right the check in a heart beat and give me $500 a truck that's how good the deal i got is.

The invoice is $51,944, that's correct.

I got all the holdback, back $1,634

I also got the advertising fees $545 x 2. On the invoice towards the lower right hand corner are the two advertising fees, something like "regional and whatever, have it in my truck will post exact name. What's this right? the way he explained it to me is unless it's a demo, you pay this no matter what. It is what pays for the "floorplan" of the dealer.

Then I also got the old inventory $2,000 back..

If he had a brand new old inventory LTZ. I would have only got $500 under invoice ( the lowest he would sell a tahoe LTZ at, as he put it they're gold right now) so that's +$1,134

Also I would have paid for the "advertising" (i guess it's just another word for profit. everyone's gotta eat right?) that's +$1,090 now we're at $2,224 more than what i paid.. So I got $2,224 off, basically, for a 6k mi Demo. Thankfully it was his wife's and not a sales demo (He just sold her black LTZ no nav or DVD in 1 week).

For any other one he has in stock this is where I scored... So take the $2,224 and tack on another $2,000 because there's no old inventory now, all the Tahoes there are newer. that's $4,224 in savings.. Not done yet...

The new LTZ's with the same equipment are now $500 MSRP more.. went from $55,740 to $56,240. I have a copy of my invoice and this one I am quoting the price on now.. GM has now taken $1,000 from the MSRP to the invoice. What I mean is my invoice was $3,796 less than MSRP. The new ones are only $2763 difference... So basically the newer Tahoe's are roughly $1,200 more than the older inventory..

Now add that to the $4,224 = $5,424 I saved buying the old inventory demo. that's something i can live with very easily. Thanks to all that have helped and tried to help.. I love the truck and yeah there will be a better deal "tomorrow" but for today I'm feeling great lol <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

I test drove a LTZ with the 20's and mine feel no different with the 22's. I love the way it looks with the 22's as well. The date on my truck is 03/09. I don't know if it was considered old inventory. All I saw was one other LTZ. I do know that I got the 500 for declining the buy back. other than that I am not sure on the break down.

wow. i would think the 22's would ride hard? Although gm must have tuned the suspension a little different to compensate. Yeah it looks sharp. I believe the old inventory is being in dealer stock for 50 days. I don't know how long it takes to get a truck into stock?
