Which Bowtie Emblem on my 2007????????
Shark, yeah they are the same grille. All those ebayers are related, and all the 80 grilles are the same ones i am pretty sure. Mine is also 6/11 bars.
I think this grille may be the winner. Now I just have to find it at the cheapest location. Anyone know who else carries this brand?

There are a few threads on how to paint the emblem! However, there is no need to leave it on to paint it. It is about a 5 minute take off. There are about 6 10MM bolts along the top of the grille area. Pop the hood, and they are right on top. Once you remove the 6 10mm bolts the grill will pull "away" from the vehicle about 2-4 inches. You can then get your hands in the hole to get to the back of the emblem. You will feel the emblem has a prong on each end. It is held by 2 10mm self locking nuts. Just take a 10mm deep socket and get them loose, it wont take much. Just make sure you dont drop them down in the front area. ONce the nuts are off the emblem is now free with the exeception of double sided tape. Just genlty pull the emblem out, or use fishing line inbetween the emblem and the chrome and use a sawing motion to cut through the tape. Now you have it removed paint it as you wish. This really is about a 5 minute take off. After you do it once you will see how easy it is.

Alright, I'm gonna take the front one off to paint it. But I know the back emblem is a much different story. Should I just tape off the back emblem and paint it without taking it off or what?
The back emblem is just taped on as well. Just use some fishing line, a strong test line and use a sawing motion. There are some threads that show it removed. You should be able to take the entire rear emblem off and paint it as well. The rear emblem is actually2 pieces, a bottom chrome bowtie with the top gold cover. If you want to paint it you would remove the entire thing. SO use the fishing line in between the bowtie and the body of the vehicle, this way you dont just remove the top part of the bowtie.
Me personally would never try and tape anything while on the actual vehicle. But that is up to you. Search back through the threads and there is some information and pictures on how to remove the rear emblem and what it looks like with it removed.

I got confused (not that hard anymore, it seems). This one that you are looking at now says it's a 1/4" thicker than others. Just how thick is that? Sounds like it will be pretty beefy.
