Brake Pedal Sensor 99' burb
I have already had this replaced about 4 months ago, but once again, my brake lights are acting up. When i first push down the pedal, they go on, after about 1/4 of the range of the pedal they go off, then the last 1/4 of the range they come back on, so my normal braking pressue i have no break lights, what could be the issue?
I don't suspect its the switch if it has been replaced, I would suspect the bracket that holds the switch or the wiring harness.
Check for binding or bent bracket, check the wiring for fit and make sure if the harness is not moving with the brake pedal assembly...

Make sure that the brake switch is properly mounted on the pedal brace. If you squeeze underneath your dash and trace up where the brake pedal lever follows up, you will located the switch. Squeeze your fingers up there and make sure the connector is flush into the brake switch and that its properly sitting on the bar/brace. I know exactly what your talking about and its annoying when at one time it works then it doesn't. Sometimes pulling up on the brake pedal works but just get underneath there make sure the wires aren't fighting against anything or twisted and make sure the brake switch is sitting on that bar up there. it'll snap in to place. Also just make sure they have the lock on the end of the switch so it doesn't fall off.
