Burb audio (6 speakers) question.
I'm familiar with car audio, and have always installed my own.
My burb came with a crappy V3 cd/mp3/usb HU, which is alright for now, and all wires seem to be connected correctly, but what do you guys do about the rear two speakers at the back door up high?
Most (all the one's I've seen) HU's only come with 4 line level outs, and if you pair up speakers, you change the ohm's (either to 8ohms or 2 ohms depending on how you pair them; series or parallel).
So, what are you doing to get sound back to the rear two speakers?
Upon a little more research into my stereo, only the driver's door speaker was working. The tweeter on the passenger door works, but the speaker is shredded. The rear two doors had the speaker plugs cut and the wire from the speaker plug pulled out the side of the door trim and then electrical taped to bigger speaker wire that had been cut. Haven't looked at the two speakers up by the cargo doors yet.
I also found a Rocford Fosgate (broken) remote bass controller under the dash, and also wire from the battery all the way to the third row seat.
Trying to get it all back together correctly now. I hate cleaning up someone else's mess.

Yes, I could, but I know not everyone is running an amp to the rear speakers. I figured most people are just not wiring the rear speakers.
If I get another amp, it will dedicated to the sub in the rear.
And for the likes of me i will never know what was going through the Chevy designers of my 99 burb you have 2 speakers and 2 tweeters in the front doors, 2 speakers in the rear doors and 2 speakers up high by the back hatch. Now for the good part.
I changd out the hed unit on mine and found out that the front speakers and the rear speakers are directly attached to the factory head unit. the mid door speakers are attached to a small amp under the dash. A lot of shops will either cross the wires or just remove the factory amp all together. I believe it a lue wire on the harness that attached to the amp of r remote switch but i am not sure. I left mine wired in and installed a 25 watt Radio Shack Amp I had to the very back speakers and it all sounds ok I didn't even use the RCA connections I just unplugged the speaker wires and ran them to the AMP and back to the speakers and it sound fine. the only hard part was the long power run to the fuse box to the back of the vehicle but thats a different story.
