Default Buy Now or Later?

I'm looking at getting a new Z71 Suburban, but I can't decide to buy one now, in a color I don't like, order one and wait 4-6 months, or wait for the 2022 models. My concern is the delay on the microchips are limiting availability in current stock. If I'm going to wait 4-6 months I might as well buy a 2022 model. Or when the microchip issue is resolved is there going to be a influx of 2021's on the market? Will that create an abundance of 2021's when the 2022's come out causing the 2021's to be had at a good value? I'm not sure what to do at the moment. Thoughts? Thank you in advance.

I have a trade in, so the longer I wait the lower my trade in value will be.

Yeah, I read about that, and wonder what percentage of vehicles out there are having that problem? Or is it something Chevy fixed at this point in their manufacturing?

They fixed the lifter issue but how many motors built with bad ones? They will fix them as they go down, they will not pull apart already built motors.
They were fixing them with defective lifters, how long did it take to purge the entire supply of them? Too many reports of failures after being repaired.
I'd wait for '22 myself, I was considering upgrading my Tahoe until this popped up. And not a early '22 build either.

Is it worth it to get a 2021 without AFM/DFM?
