Yeah but they don't click after that.

The Autoride compressor do normally run for a short period of time if the truck has been sitting overnite.

When you replace the fuel pump, be sure and use the OEM pump.

Yeah, this is a constant ticking noise when the AC compressor is engaged. A lot of people (like my wife) wouldn't even give the noise a second thought but it is there.

What do the OEM fuel pumps go for and can I expect them the whine right out of the box?

The autoride engages upon startup only. It is leveling itself. Hopefully your shocks are ok. I just spent $1100 and had mine replaced. If you live in Minn., you are lucky. Here in Texas, we use the air conditioner nearly year round. I'v always heard, that you should run the compressor during the winter occasionally to keep it lubed up. So keep that in mind up there in cold country.

My guess on the compressor is the bearings in the drive pulley are going out but could be something internal also. Not sure how much a new one costs but you can check gmpartsdirect or rockauto.
