Default A/C PROBLEM 2001 suburban
When I turn on my A/C the idle gets pulled way down, almost like it is going to shut off. Also I can hear a squeeling sound when ever I turn my A/C on. The belt is new. Could something be binding on the compressor?

Thanks ahead if anyone has some help on this one.

the compressor could be bad or need a new compessor clutch.

I agree. Did you try turning the compressor w/ the belt off? Sounds like it is trying to seize up.
