Do the Yukons and Escalades have a cabin filter?

So its a safety issue to be sure you have enough oxygen for those long road trips AND in addition to bringing in fresh air to keep CO levels lower if you have a CO leak?

Also, Maybe the reason I don't smell anything in my wife's cadillac (obviously a GM product as well) is I believe her car has some sort of filter for outside air.

Stuffy from Carbon Dioxide (CO2) (what we exhale) levels not Carbon Monoxide (CO) (what your car exhales).

And "no” the Denali and Escalade do not have cabin dust and polen air filters, it proved to be a bad idea as the average customer that owned the previous models (pre 2003) that had the filters; would get mighty upset when handed a $50+ bill to replace two filters that they didn't even know they had.

We also discovered that in some conditions where people drove dirt roads often or where a tremendous amount of leaves were present the filters could become clogged in a very short amount of time.

Make sense but on some older vehicles it was a simple task to change it out from under dash.Cheap part/easy install. Couldn't it be made that simple for this?

ZX (Dave) or anybody else who knows,
Is there a way to overide the factory 10% incoming air on recirculate so no outside air comes in at all while temporarily on recirculate mode?

I would not use it all the time, just when those smelly a$$ buses, trucks are in front of me.

Can the A/C be reprogrammed or adjusted to close completely?

No, there isn't a way to over-ride the system.

The world is a smelly place.
