Welcome to the Tahoe forum. The defrost is the default position on most HVAC systems. Possibly a vacuum hose is detached or broken or the selector valve or actuator is leaking.

Thanks. This will be very helpful. I think the selector **** is what broke. Im going to buy a new unit and see if that fixes my problem. Thanks.

Worked like a charm. I have A/C running full blast now! Must be something with the climate control unit
