Unhappy Car Play

Apple Car Play is intermittent at best. The dealership tries to help but the Car Play system is just not reliable. Sometimes it connects with no issue, other times the audio only comes through the iPhone, other times it will not connect at all and the audio is controlled by the "Media" selection on the Infotainment System.

I have found through trial and error that disconnecting Bluetooth is somewhat helpful in making the Car Play, work, but then I lose the advantages of the Bluetooth connection.

Am I alone here?

I have exactly the same problem and that's the reason why I joined this forum .
Looks like there's no answer for this anywhere...

I had similar problems with Android Auto. After prompting, the dealership found and applied an update to the infotainment system, and that made it much better.

I still have some occasional issues, but those seem to have been mostly corrected by using a shorter and higher quality cable between the phone and vehicle.

No - You are not alone. I find it unconscionable that GM and Apple can call this product ready for Prime Time. Very buggy and frustrating.
