Check engine light 07 TAHOE

Check engine light just came on, looking to see if anyone may have any solutions? Haven't got any codes yet.

My solution is to check for codes..

yeah having the codes will give some direction, unless you have some driveability issues that you can discribe that could have caused the CEL

Most auto parts stores will scan for free. Remember the code will just get you in the area of trouble, not necessarily tell you the bad component.
