Remote start, stopped working I get in my tahoe turn it on and now the engine light is on.

 

Remote start is disabled when the light is on. Take it to an auto parts store, have the code(s) read, and see what the issue is. Or, if you have an OnStar subscription, you can just hit the OnStar button and they'll tell you the code(s).

I'm currently chasing a P0442 in my Suburban - evaporative emissions leak. I just keep disconnecting the batteries to reset the code after each troubleshoot.
