Hit those zerk fittings. I think there are about 6 on the 2wd and 11 on the 4wd.

If it has posi in the rear end, don't forget the additive.

You could also check all the u-joints. Any "clunking" can be changed over to the kind with the grease zerk fitting.

Not sure if you plan to do brakes and rotars but with the wheel, caliper, rotar, and frame off, you could also change both upper and lower ball joints. Put in ones with the right angle grease zerk fitting so you can grease it without removing the tire. Are you planning to rebuild the entire front end so new moog bushings on the control arms and for the sway bar?

My 98 Tahoe has >300k miles on it and still running like a champ....knock on wood....
