Chevy Tahoe 5.3 lifter collapse
Tahoe, has anyone ever replaced lifters only to have one collapse before a thousand miles, why would a new lifter collapse?

I also have a (2012) 5.3 Chevy Tahoe. The one thing I've read over & over is that you must also replace the Valley Lifter Oil Manifold(VLOM) or be doomed to further & rapid lifter failure! The VLOM replacement is of course in conjunction with all lifters, lifter trays, gaskets, & Head Bolts.
