Climate control header unit removal
2 pieces of trim I need help removing please,
Can someone tell me how to remove the header unit of an automatic dual air climate control on a 2003 Suburban 1500. I have read its just a pull forward but its so secure I am reluctant to use force until I know for sure.
Secondly the trim panel below the dashboard (where the knees go). I released the obvious scres but it wouldn't move.
All help appreciated

RE: Climate control header unit removal
alot of time on the newer vehicles there are "hidden" metal clips behind the trim pieces, pulling firmly usually gets them free. (go to the junk yard and try it there before you try on yours, if you break theirs, who cares? )

RE: Climate control header unit removal
tilt the the steering wheel down, put the shifter in first gear position.pull the upper part of the cluster bezel out then slightly up to clear the upper dash.the hvac control is held in with 7mm screws then release the 4 tabs that are next to the the screw holes.
