Default Will a climate control unit "plug&play" into an 01?

I have an 01 suburban that has the 1 & 2 speed on the the blower switch is non operational. I was thinking of swapping out that whole unit and dropping in a newer climate control version found on the newer models. Anyone know if it's a "plug and play" deal? Or is it easier just to replace the blower switch which I assume is the issue.

Default Hvac

the ones that can adjust the temp ie you set 72 and leave it... require mucho sensors in the vehicle... outside, inside, i think my 09 even has a 'skin temperature' sensor

your better off googling the part # and trying to find one to replace it...

sorry...

but! I may be wrong... g'luck

I was thinking of the newer years up to 06. 2007-09 are a whole new beast.

your problem is probably the blower motor resistor, not the switch....have you diagnosed it to the switch?
