Default Codes p0171 & p0174 please help!

so lately my 2004 suburban has been giving me a rough idle and got to work a couple of weeks ago and the check engine light came on, so I plugged in the DIC and came up with P0171 & P0174. so few days go by and i decided to change out my plugs and wires. still the same code came up. Now i am thinking i am going to take it to the chevy dealership and have them look at it. Any who have been doing some reading and i believe i have it narrowed down to the intake gasket is bad and thats why it is throwing the codes. any ideas on what i should tell the dealership to fix ? or is it just the intake gasket?

please please please help a guy out.

Do not tell them what to fix. Ask them to tell you for sure why the check engine light is on. If you go in and tell them to replace the intake gasket and it does not fix the check engine light then it is your problem not theirs.

Those 2 are lean condition codes most of the time we see these it is repaired by replacing the intake gaskets with an updated gasket which is teal in color insted of orange. Lean conditions are cause by unmetered air entering the engine, use throttle cleaner on a cold engine to check for leaks, it'll run rough when you find the leak.

Going to list a websites that you can reference since yours is not a big issue and you can just go through and see what the problems they list for your code. The codes are simple fixes and they write a more detail list for you.. OBD II Code P0171 and P0174
