Default Common issue????

After replacing ALL the steel brake lines in my 95 Suburban yesterday(a story in itself), took it for a ride, came back & found coolant leaking from the intake (I think). It was pooled up on the top of the intake, & dribbilng down the front of the block (made me think it was the water pump at first). As I put in the title, is this common??? Also, other then removing the quick-disconnect heater hose from the rear of the intake, are there any other potential issues I may run into removing the intake??
