crankshaft repair sleeve???
#11
Going to trade my new hb in for another (maybe it is defective) and hope that fixes the problem. I'd rather not take out the seal or use the repair sleeve if I don't definitely have to. Assuming it's not my hb what are my options to try and nail this problem down?

Only if you want to take a big chance of pulling the threads out of the crank and being up the creek. Use a harmonic dampener install tool, places like AutoZone have it in their free loaner tool program. Or, you could borrow mine, but it probably wouldn't be worth the gas money going to and fro.

Maybe I should clarify. I don't drive it home. I use the lowest setting and slowly just pulse it. I didn't know there was a tool butt I will definitely inquire about it tomorrow. Thanks for feedback too fellows, it is greatly appreciated!

Went and bought an expensive hb, replaced the woodruff key (pit tha fn ***), installed the new hb (with the tool) and so far so good. Sound 100 times easier than it was. thanks a bunch fellas it was greatly appreciated!!!
