Default Crazy electrical problem

I have a 2010 suburban 5.3 and for some odd reason when I push the button on the turn the signal stalk to spray or turn on the rear wiper the glass hatch pops open? Every time any ideas as to why the rear wiper is sending power to the rear glass? Bad stalk maybe

I'd try a resetting the Body Control Module (BCM) first. Disconnect the battery for a few minutes, reconnect and test.

It doesn't matter. Disconnect the negative/ground terminal from your battery. Wait 5-10 minutes. Re-connect it, and see if you still have the problem.

If you still have the problem, then you most likely have a damaged/shorted/pinched wiring harness for the bundle that goes back to the tailgate.

could be a bad switch,i would check for a bad ground in the rear door hatch, bad grounds do all kinds of weird stuff like back feed power through the grounds.your suburban has a rear door lift gate module that controls the lift gate latch assembly and the window latch assembly .

Well I left the battery disconnected over night and still have the same issue it does it when I spray or try to adjust the speed everything else one
The stalk is functioning correctly it even sprays the fluid just no movement because the rear hatch always opens, the rear glass does open with the fob as its supposed ,I removed the grommet from the gate were it flexes and found no pinched wires thanks for the help , any other ideas or suggestions?

get codes checked or start short hunting, I have seen tons of chaffed wires on the passthrough from the body to the liftgate but can't say I've heard of it causing an issue like this.

I'd remove the panel from the door and check the wiring inside the door. If the connectors and grounds are good then disconnect the widow latch, until the problem can be fixed. As chevy55 mentioned bad grounds can be weird, causing the lift gate module to get scrambled signals from the BCM.

First thing I'd do is check the wires INSIDE the door. If the grounds are ok than the window latch can be disconnected. I thing that the problem can be fixed.

I too suspect the issue is with the stalk or within the column wiring...
