Default Curiosity about 2007 Tahoe

I saw two 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, they made a huge acceleration that is not normal for a Tahoe. When they accelerated they made a very loud sound, not the sound of a V8, but a sound like a jet (like the Porsche Turbo for example). What modification have those Tahoe? (Is a procharger??)

Superchargers make a whine. Since they're belt-driven off the crank, the sound changes in direct proportion to the speed of the engine.

Turbochargers make a whistle. Since they're driven by exhaust gasses, they increase in speed exponentially compared to engine speed. Speeds of 100,000-200,000 RPM at full boost are typical.

Since the ProCharger is the equivalent of a belt driven turbocharger, I suspect that what you heard was a belt driven supercharger on top of the manifold such as the Magnacharger.
