Home Depot & hardware stores, bahh, use www.intakehoses.com they have good stuff for you DIYers on intakes. You know they just make noise and dont give you any noticeable HP right? If your looking for a HP gain, all you can do is chip it without doing internal engine work.

I just did mine for looks & sound, it sells for $149 out the door at Pepboys with air wall & all. I will be changing the filter it came with, I am ordering a K&N 4" clamp-on.

My intake & filter is all made by Spectre, but the filter is so so, kinda thin. It was on the aisle, not a special order either. Did not cause any CE lights either at all. My old Home Cheapo( Depot) one did.

4.8L... well there's your problem

I wouldn't bother w/home depot solutions for cars, they never look right...

If GM could spend $5.00 and get more HP from your truck they would have...

less restrictive exhaust and or a chip might add HP... but might make it louder and or sacrifice reliability...
