Default In dash DVD Player

Does anyone know the part number for the in dash DVD/CD player for the 07 Tahoe? I opted not to get the rear seat entertainment but would like to play DVD's up front.

You have to install the nav unit part #15882766 along with the over-ride kit mentioned in a recent post to view DVD’s while driving.

I personally don’t have the time to watch movies while driving; I'm too busy with my cell phone, Blackberry, switching CD's and juggling a sandwich and cup of coffee.

LOL

I really don't care about watching while driving. I already have the Nav. I just want to replace the CD player with the DVD if that's possible.

I was in the same boat as you. My Tahoe came with NAV without the DVD player and rear entertainment.

This is what I did.

You have options without having to replace your NAV or spend thousands of dollars.

i would love to see someone crack open a NAV and a NAV/DVD unit to see if they are actually different hardware wise. if not..a software hack may be possible.

The only difference is going to be the DVD/CD Player which should be interchangable from what I've seen. If you can find the DVD, you should get video.

Also, has anyone found audio/video mini plugs for the video IPOD? I am told you can watch videos from the ipod on your screen with the ipod but you need the cable. I can't find one.

Even if you find the right cable (3.5mm 4 Pole on both ends), you might still have issues seeing video on the screen because the pin outs on the AUX port might be different.

That's what I'm looking for. WHere did you find that? I know they make those cables for the ipod that go to RCA audio cideo cables but I need that connector on both sides.
