Default Dash Removal 1995 Suburban

Is there anywhere to find a step by step guide to removing a dash cover? I have 2 problems.

When they worked on my air conditioner, there is a wire that sometimes shorts out. When this happens, I hear a clicking noise in the left hand side of the dash and the radio plays static at full volume. None of the controls on the radio work and I cannot turn it off. After a few minutes, things generally return to normal.

The second problem is that the front unit seems to always mix outside air when the a/c is on. The back unit is much colder.

Taking it back to the shop is not an option, so any tips would be helpful. I've been tearing into blindly, but there appears to be something holding the top part of the dash. The shop manual doesn't appear to cover this part.
