Can't verify the accuracy but found this on another forum:

My service manager states that the 07007 - and 07033 is a re-program (flash) of the BCM (body control module) to prevent the radio from draining the battery and improve operation of the keyless entry.

GRRRRRR....I watched this thread closely when I first joined the board...before my Tahoe arrived...as always, I was the guy that said "that will never happen to me"
Well, my brand new tahoe (w/ 50 miles), that had been sitting in my garage untouched for the past two weeks, has a dead battery!
I was going to take it out for a spin today...nothing...wont even turn over....never thought that I would have to invest in a "jumpstarter" after purchasing a 50k truck...silly me..

HAHAHA, Yep! Get used to it!

I dont drive my Tahoe but about every two weeks. 9 our of 10 times it will be completely dead when I do decide to finally start it.

However, last week I did the recall update for the battery issue. So far so good. However, I have driven it a lot more than normal. Lets see how it does when it sits for a while.

Bought a "jump-starter", but it needed to be charged for 20 hours!!!
So I had to do it the old fashion way...pulled my durango into the garage to assist...finally got it going...it must have been completely drained....
Anyone know who long I should let this thing run for to charge the battery?
I wanted to take it out tonight, but dont want to get stranded....

I dont think it takes that long before you are ok. Just dont use any extra power with the ignition off than you have too.

However, I seem to remember reading it can take 1-2 hours to fully charge your battery back up after it is drained. That is from memory, and I have killed ALOT of brain cells, even atmy young age!

What is this jumpstarter thing? I have always done mine the jumper cable way.

basically a stand-alone "battery pack" , has pos and neg clamps....like doing a jump start without another car.

Guy, I'm a bit late on this post, but while researching the second battery issue, I found GM was marketing this for the Tahoe Police Package. There is a part/option number for it and I assume it includes the necessary harness. As ZX says, the hard part, the tray, is already in place.

I'll try to order the harness through my dealer and see if I can get going.

A vehicle of this size needs a larger capacity battery and crank power. My previous vehicle,a BMW 750IL, had two battery, much larger than this one...
