Hi all. I own a 2008 LTZ and when I inserted the CD into the Nav System, when I go to load the MAP DVD the display reads "Checking the MAP DVD." after about 30 seconds a message pops up and reads "The disc installed is not a MAP DVD."

Can anyone offer advice?

A couple things to note....The MAP DVD is to be inserted behind the screen, not in the slot above the screen. A MAP DVD and only a MAP DVD can be inserted into this slot, so there is no need to remove it.
If these cases are true for you, check the surface of the dvd, check for scratches, smudges, fingerprints etc. If anything is on it, run the disc under water, and use a soft cloth and wipe the dvd from the center hole to the outer edge and repeat all the way around the disc. put it back in....if it sill reads NOT A MAP DVD, you either have a bad map disc, or maybe the laser that reads the disc is damaged
