DL3 Power Folding Mirrors

I couldn't find it but I seem to remember something about the vehicle needing memory seats in order for the auto tilt (curb assist) to work for the mirrors. I don't have that feature either after installing the mirrors
For the puddle lamps (this is the way mine work too)

After reading the tech spec's it's clear that the designed operation of these lights (puddle lamps under mirrors) is to only illuminate during entry when the RKE is used to access the vehicle. I'm not sure why the lighting engineers decided to do this but I'll see if I can find out….just sounds a little odd or maybe even a simple oversight.

I don't have the curb assist function or illumination so if anyone can add to this thread on how to get those
functions working, I'd greatly appreciate it!

And to think... All I wanted was turn signal mirrors... Now I'm complaining about features I don't really need, but can't do with out. Go figure.

RE: DL3 Power Folding Mirrors
Does anyone have the current product numbers for the DL3 folding mirrors and module. Also if I just want the signal mirrors can I just plug them into the existing harness on my LT1 or do I need to purchase the module and get the reprogramming?

RE: DL3 Power Folding Mirrors
Hey everyone out there I finally got my Power Folding mirrors to work but it was not easy.
The only easy thing was getting the pair of DL-3 on ebay for $170.00 plus $100.00 for the DDS module & putting everything on was less than 1hr.But the dealer was were things got ugly somehow the Tech II could not program the power folding mirror because the option on the LT-1 model does not have it inthe BCM so it would not reconized it & GM would not provide the unlocking code no matter how many please I told them. So the only option was after my car being in the dealer for 2-days was to remove a DDS from a LT-3 model put mines on that car program it then switch back to my car then it finally work, But I was warned that if I lose power to the car due to a dead battery I could lose the memory and I would have to do this again.Plus I was also charge 2hrs labor $150.00.But after all I'm happy everthing works and it cost $420.00 much less having to get a 2008-Tahoe with the LT-3 option. If anybody need updated part numbers I have DDS module is GM#15906881 the mirror I owe them to you will post them soon Good luck.

Joined the forum after reading this thread and I for sure have new hope in doing this mod to my 08 Silverado. Can someone confirm that this will work on the Silverado? And what part numbers I will need?

RE: DL3 Power Folding Mirrors
BLKDOUTSILVY like I mention on my prevouis post It can be done the only part number that I have right now is the Drivers Door Module GM part# 15906881 the mirrors you can get them off e-bay yes make sure there the DL-3 ones I got mines for $170.00 and they were in execellent condition. Now once you have everything install your mirrors & your new dds take it to the dealer to have it program. I don't know which Silverado you have LT-1 or 2 package but if the program does not work they need to program your DDS on another car that has the power folding mirror option then put it back on your car then everything works. That how mines ended up working and so far everything is working perfect. If you look at prevouis threads it will tell you how to uninstall & reinstall your mirrors & the DDS.

RE: DL3 Power Folding Mirrors
Thanks for the heads up. Are the part numbers the same for the Tahoe and Silvy? I have never seen the interior of the Tahoe, do you have pictures of this switch you are referring to? I have just picked up a set of mirrors on ebay and now I need to find the DDS. Here is a pic. of the switch I need except in black. My Silvy is a 1LT.
