I am not sure if I have heard of 1LT's being able to be converted....It all comes down to your BCM (body control module) that can be programmed by GM Tech's but I don't know if they are different than 2LT and up models. If they aren't you will have no problem switching them over to DL3 because everything is dependent on the BCM.

Does anyone know the cheapest place to get Driver Door Switch (#15906881) from??? Dealer wants $148.00[] GMPartsDirect wants $80 but another $17 to ship.

Let me know if anyone knows of any for sale anywhere.

Default DL3 mirror conversion for 2005 Yukon XL

I've been reading the posts about converting later model vehicles to use the DL3 mirrors but I'm interested in converting a 2005 Yukon XL to DL3 mirrors. I currently have the DPF mirrors (power extending towing mirrors) and the memory package. The DIC is also setup to turn on the curb view but I have not been able to get that to work. From having seen 2005 Yukon XLs with the DL3 mirrors it looks like the mirror adjustment/power extend switch on mine is the same as the mirror adjustment/power fold switch on the DL3 equipped vehicles. Is it actually possible that this might be a straight foward plug and play exchange (power extend to power fold) that won't require the switch change and programming changes to work?

Hi all,

For anyone that have done a DL3 mirror swap that can help. I did a DL3 mirror swap and everything seem to work (signal, folding) but now if I turn off the car and open the door the radio and dash stays on. I will turn off in about 10min after the battery saver kicks in. Has anyone experience the problem. Any help or idea would be great.

Thank you

Guess not. Did you get the BCM reprogrammed?
