I'm not sure how this happened, but the driver's side door handle is scuffed up on my '07 LTZ. Would I need to have a repair shop re-paint it, or can I order a stock door handle pre-painted that matches my Tahoe?

 

Is it scuffed thru the clear coat? If not, then you can polish it out with some Meguiars Scratch Remover.

 

It is scratched pretty good, well into the paint. How in the world does stuff like this happen? Sheesh!

Do you know whether the door handles come pre-painted from the factory? I'm thinking it might be cheaper to replace than to repair...

 

They are prepainted I believe.

Check ebay, they have handles on their regularly!

 

Does somebody with long nails regularly use that door handle?
