Default Door won't open 97 suburban

I have a 97 Suburban. Originally the door linkage was broken after the drivers door got hit. I was always used to opening it from the inside. Unfortunately, my father in law tried to close the door using the door handle, and broke it off, now I have no way of opening the door. Can anyone give me advice on what the easiest way is to get the door open? I'm just going to replace the interior door handle.

well since the door is screwed anyway, you could just cut a hole on the outside to open the door then replace the whole door.
