driver side slide door cannot open completely

2007 UPLANDER LS, manual slide door.
Sometime driver side slide door cannot open completely. The door slides about 15CM then stop no matter how strong you pull . Mostly after you drive for one hour or more time, the slide door work ok again.
Its crazy.
Anybody know the reason and solution?

Sounds like the gas fill door safety catch (the mechanism that won't allow you to fully open the driver's sliding door if the gas door is open) is misaligned or sticking.
