Default Driver’s power seat issues in 07’3LT

Is there anybody else having trouble with their driver’s side power seat? Our power adjustment works intermittently but here lately not at all when sitting under the wheel. You can put it in park and get out of the vehicle and the seat will adjust in any direction just fine. We have had it check a couple of times at the dealership and they have run some kind of program causing it to work for a short period but in a few days it’s screwed up again. We also have a seat issue with the cashmere leather. The dye or color is coming off. My dealer has told me they will just replace the entire seat including the power adjustment. I was just wondering if anybody else was experiencing these same issues with their 07’.

The cause of the power seat not functioning may be due to the power seat controller switch connector not being fully seated.
Have the dealer remove the plastic lower seat trim and check that the harness is fully seated.

The dye appearing to be coming off may actually be dye transferring from your clothing to the leather (denim jeans are notorious for this).
Try using a good quality leather cleanser or saddle soap and a little elbow grease and see if it won't remove the dark discoloration.

FYI, we finally had the time to take our Hoe in for repairs over the Holiday’s. They found the problem with the driver’s side seat adjuster and replaced a broken electrical part under the seat. I’m not sure what it was but the Service Manager said it was cracked and causing the failure. As for the discoloration in the leather seat it turns out that this is a common problem according to our Dealer. He said they have replaced several seat covers just like ours lately. There’s a defect in the coloring or dyeing process of the leather and shows up pretty quickly. My Wife works for Lear who supplies the seats to GM Arlington Plant. She said the leather comes out of Mexico which pretty much explains the quality. Hey, everything is cool now and once again GM has demonstrated to me that they stand behind their products and that’s a good thing. "GO COWBOYS"!!!
