i have a 07 sub ltz. the driver side power seat is kaputt. the dealer tells me i need three new motors at the cost of $1700 plus tax. has anyone else experianced this propblem?

I wouldn't think all three motors would die at the same time. See another Dr. of Motors for a 2nd opinion.

I'm not sure the seat was ever alive.

check all fuses?

 

Check the obvious first! Check the FUSE. Seems you've lost electrical power to the entire seat and the fuse would be the first option, an electrical connecter somewhere not plugged in tight second. Any shop telling you to replace the seat motors is a dealer that wouldn't see my vehicle ever again.

 

$1,700?! I bet your insurance deductible is $500.
