Default Driving In The Snow

Anyone with an 07 / 08 Tahoe live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana or Illinois? If so how's your Tahoe doing in the bad weather and driving conditions. I moved to Tempe, AZ from Columbus, Ohio and wonder how my Tahoe would do in the weather they are getting lately. TIA![/align]

I'm in NY and we just had 6" of snow and 1/2" of ice... The 'hoe did the job... I was out and about in the worst of it and so long as you aren't driving like an idiot, the truck performs perfectly.

One hint though - if you wanna do donuts in a parking lot, make sure that you turn off Stabillitrak.

I was recently in Montana for my wedding and there was over a foot on the ground if you got off the main roads. The Ho did fine in 4HI, towing a trailer with 2 polaris 800's on it. We were driving in tracked out snow down a country road...probably 14-18" deep when you weren't in the ruts. Without the trailer I was able to keep it in Auto most of the trip w/o any issues.

I'm in PA. I've had my Tahoe for three winters now and it does great in snow. It gives a very confident feel in snow...almost too confident. You rarely get any lose of traction feedback.

I use "auto" alot and I am a big fan.

You sure about the three winters, and not two? Just asking.

I have a 1995 Tahoe, and its UNSTOPABLE in the snow... I love it, point the wheel and hit the gas, and it GOES!

My Girlfriend's 05 Tribute is NO fun in the snow... it goes, where you point it, but I like to spin out, 4-wheel drift / etc... (have fun)... and the car's 'brain' stops all that

But, I've read the 07+ Tahoe lets you turn off the 'please don't kill your self' brain, and have fun it with it

I'm from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and our winters are not only brutally cold, but we geta ton of snow. Last week we had a blizzard the left ~13cm's of fresh snow and -51C. It was so cold that when you'd breathe in through the nose you'd feel everything freeze! Anyways, during the winter and this past cold spell the 2008 Tahoe has performed amazing!!! Very, very easy start-ups...and extremely impressive traction on the ice and through the soft snow. This vehicle is definately designed for all conditions!!!

I only wish the remote start ran longer...when its -51C the 10 minutes doesn't do much (but at least there isa remote starter...so I'll stop complaining now!)

I was wrong then, I didn't know you could get them as early as Jan 2006.
