DRL......Simple fix or not ????
My 1999 Tahoe DRL on the dash is ON in normal operation, and is OFF when headlamps are on. The emergency brake activation turns off lamp when applied. Is this a simple fix ??????

The problem may be the "Daylight Running Lamp Module", try a reset of the module by pulling the "GAUGES" fuse in the Instrument Panel fuse block. Try to find the ground connection (black wire??) for the DRL Module, bad grounds can cause some weird symptoms. Check the emergency brake switch and it's ground connection.

If I'm understanding the OP, you're saying that the DRL indicator goes off when you apply the emergency brake?
If that's the "problem," then there's no fix, because GM designed the truck to do that. If you apply the E brake, your DRLs go off, so of course the indicator on the dash goes off, too.
On my '01, if the E brake has been applied, and you start the truck when it's dark, the auto headlights do not come on. As soon as you release the E brake, they come on.

Headlamps LO/HI beam work perfect, just no DRL's. Someone must have had this same problem, I know I'm not the only Tahoe owner who has this problem. It's never been wrecked and I am the original owner.
