The newer diesels don’t really have problems with the cold. I am up in the U.P. a lot and have had zero problems -35% Many people in Canada and Alaska use the duramax at much colder temps with no problems. The newer diesels, including the duramax trucks are amazing. The things they can do is great. For towing with a light truck the duramax will blow a gas truck away, including a SC big block. Diesels trucks have so much TQ for pulling, they get the job done. There was a company out there they put a dmax in suburban’s and hoes. They did a great job putting them in. I think they where out of Florida.

Nice, the more of information you give me the more I like this Duramax- Allison combo.
In the market but not in a hurry I can wait, easily ...

I think the outfit that was doing the Duramax thing with the Tahoe was mingling a pickup and Tahoe and you had to furnish both and end up with one and a lot less cash. I think they were out of Orlando FL.

Thank you for this information. Well - a $$$ procedere only for the rich in need of a special toy
And then they still had to find a buyer for the remaining pickup ...
