Default DVD Radio

I was wondering if I could get some help here?

I have a 2007 Tahoe non bose and I was wondering if I could exchange my non DVD radio with a DVD radio out of another 2007 Tahoe?

I know that it will physically fit but my question is about the plugs on the back where I only have 2 the DVD radio has 4. I do not know if im right but im thinking that one of them is for power one is for the mids and hi's one is for the woofer and amp and the last one is for the video. but that is a guess

any help would be very appreciated

Are you just trying to install the factory CD/DVD player without Navigation, and connect it to a Factory or aftermarket screen? If that is what you are trying to do, then yes it is possible. If it is used or was installed in another car previously, you will have to get the "TheftLock" removed from the dealer after you install it. I belive that the CD/DVD player has 4 plugs too. The first two are for power and data and speakers, third for AUX video in, DVD video out and infrared input/output, the last one would be used if you have a navigation system for speed sensor, rear camera, also if you had a GMC Denali for the subwoofer and center channel. But you wouldn't need that connector. You will need to get one of the plugs either from JP customs or from the dealer so you can get video to your screen either Flipdown or headrest. The pin out on the plugs are the same as the DVD Navigation Unit so i would follow those.

Im not sure if you have to have the BOSE speaker system for the Factory CD/DVD player to work. You might have to get a adapter that will allow you to add a aftermarket AMP. Look for something that will "bypass" the bose amp and add your own.

I installed a factory DVD Navigation and a aftermarket Panasonic Flipdown screen with a DVD built in on my tahoe and I love my setup. The my wife can watch something upfront while the kids watch something different in the back or we can all watch the same thing.

Im not trying to discourage you but if your trying to install the factory screen and the factory cd/dvd player, you may have a hard time finding the proper wiring harness to connect to it or that it may cost quite a bit. I figure about 150 to 200 for the factory cd/dvd player, about 80 to get it unlocked, and your screens, between 150 - 500 or more not including labor if you chose to have it installed. You may want to look into a aftermarket flipdown screen with a built in or seperate dvd player or headrest screens. I maybe wrong, just my two cents. Hope this helps
