Recently the DVD player stopped working in my 2007 Suburban. I tried several DVDs and all give me a Disc Read Error. I am able to play CDs without issue. Up until now, DVDs have played just fine. I'm wondering if there is a fix for this issue?? Looked into a replacement but it is very expensive.

 

Use a cleaner disk and see if that helps. Get at Radio Shack..

 

Thanks JimJ. I tried the cleaner disc but the player will still only work with CDs.

 

Not to over state the obvious, but are you using the correct slot?
On my 07 Tahoe with the entertainment package, I have two slots, the one at the top of the radio is for the DVD's AND will play CD's, the lower slot is for CD's ONLY....(been there done that )
