Has anyone every done a Vortec 454 swap into an ‘88 suburban that has a sbc, found a good deal on a ‘97 454 and Ik the big block will fit easy in the suburban just wanna know how hard it’ll be, specially computer stuff and wiring, and if there’s a big difference in the motor mounts, take any advice I can get thanks

 

I would say the motor mounts from the 97 should bolt in to the 88. The not fun part will be swapping out the harness. I put a 4.3 vortec into a 89 Jeep wrangler. Ended up swapping out the steering column and the full harness, lot of work but well worth it in the end. You'll probably end up having to do about the same with this swap.
