Hi guys!

Got a '01 Suburban 1500 4WD 5.3 blowing the ECM B fuse. I had the fuel harness replaced under the recall about 2 years ago. Last week returning from a 200 mile trip, it dies going down the interstate doing about 80 mph. Pull over to side of road, turns over, no start. Start checking fuses and the ECM B fuse is blown. Replaced it and drove on home. Drove for about a week and yesterday went to start, no start, ECM B fuse blown again.

I read all the forums and it points to the fuel pump harness. I dropped the tank, pulled the pump assembly, no burnt wires, connectors look good and exterior harness all the way down the frame looks good.

What next? Could the fuel pump be going bad? If so, what kind of resistance should it be reading and on what terminals?

Update:

Got a tip from a friend that my fuel pump might be giong bad. So I took a chance and bought a replacement pump (ebay $40, not 250 for complete assembly). Changed it out. No problems since.
